matone
This was the man in charge of a left wing socialist political party who could not turn himself into a capitalist millionaire quick enough, hypocrite. Dont get me started about his equally awful wife! Blackpowder Lets be honest they`re all champagne Socialists ! Total hypocrites looking for an easy ride on the back equality for all (as long as they`re MORE equal than others !)
Blackpowder
I actually thought Tony was a pretty sound chap and just a little misunderstood. As with most visionaries they tend to be dismissed as heretics before their true brilliance is recognised...... Come along now mr gr dont stir it and upset our more sensitive members. And I'm sure he has resigned so that he may bask in the glory that will come his way from the Iraq Inquiry Report. If it ever see's the light of day. Vince Green
He was a total conman only said what he thought people wanted to hear to get his own way. He put the word 'spin' into the British vocabulary and controlled the press with his enforcer Alistair Canpbell. And all the time his Chancellor was selling off our gold (which he had no authority to do!) and plundering our pensions. They flooded the country with immigrants, put up benefits and re-drew the electoral boundaries. Oh yes and he banned handguns.. Yes. And I'm sure he has resigned so that he may bask in the glory that will come his way from the Iraq Inquiry Report. If it ever see's the light of day. +1! grrclark
Yes. And I'm sure he has resigned so that he may bask in the glory that will come his way from the Iraq Inquiry Report. If it ever see's the light of day. I am quite sure that his particular actions in engaging in the action in Iraq will be recognised as appropriate on the eventual publication of the Chilcot inquiry. I rather expect that 'basking in glory' is highly unlikely. p.s. I was being sarcastic in my earlier reply, just in case it wasn't obviously apparent. cwmmawr
Blair and Campbell are slippery as hell nothing ever really sticks. I do wonder what will happen in the Middle East now the peace envoy has quit there could be terrorism, sectarian violence, coups, ethnic cleansing whole regions being carved up etc I think he is being lined up for a new role with Fifa Edited May 28, 2015 by cwmmawr

Scully
Unfortunately I can't see him just fading away; his ego wouldn't allow that. X Factor judge ? FIFA role ? 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me A Job At Iceland' ? 'Strictly' ? Another book ? 'Saddam: My Part In His Downfall' ? The opportunities for a man of his talents are endless.
