Description

BRNO Fox Model 2 in God's calibre .222 Rem

The action is the same as the CZ 527 except this is the fully enclosed action and arguably stronger/stiffer as a result

Mini Mauser controlled feed action (perfect for a 204 or 17Rem re-barrel if you so choose)

Shoots 1/2" groups all day long

Points of note:

Modified and smoothed butterknife bolt handle - clears even low Objective bells

Barrel cut 2" and original foresight threaded as a thread/muzzle protector ½â€ UNF

Full barrelled action Professionally Reblued, some very minor bush marks on barrel from reflex MAE Mod since then

Stock refinished and fitted with Solid butt pad to increase LOP by 7/8" - OEM pad also included

New QR sling swivels - front stud is a bolt through back swivel so won't pull out

5 round Mag, smoothed lips and edges, feeds very well

Double set trigger, stripped and polished, adjustable on the fly by screw between triggers)

No plastic on the this rifle, all metal mag, bolt shroud, trigger guard

This rifle has had a full component strip and rebuild refurb including new crown/threading, full hot caustic bluing, wood strip and oil finish:

Bad points:

Barrel has some internal pitting, always has done, knew this when I bought it, clearly makes no difference to accuracy, the below target is recent, shot a few days ago to test zero.

Does not change group or POI with cleaning

Compared to the BRNO fox's out there for sale this is in much better condition, cheaper and a proven shooter, (test firing welcome)

Targets:

2 shot zero check before a stalk 2 weeks ago - shot at a LRFd 200yds off the top of the car

60gr Hornday soft points

50gr VMax - 4 shots 110yds, resting on a front bag

60gr Hornday SP - 3 shots 110yds - front bag

I am only selling as I had the opportunity of a really nice Sako at a price I couldn't refuse!
