shalfordninja33
As above people. My 32inch Samsung died a couple of days ago. Therefore I'm going to venture into town tomorrow to buy a new one. I want to go slightly bigger 40 or 42. Not bothered about smart features, I have sky on demand for that. Must be full HD. I've always had Samsung, Panasonic or Sony in the past. My budget is around £400. Over to the pw massive!
sitsinhedges
Where are you based? There's a place called Clearance Bargains in Corby that's usually chock full of different types of TV by the pallet load. It's an Argos clearance centre and they're all new and boxed, some real bargains but stock is always changing so you have to go and see what they have. Vince Green
Go somewhere where you can see them switched on. The picture quality should be more obvious then. I think they are all HD and smart now..
brett1985
last november i replaced our old 32inch samsung with a samsung 40 inch smart tv. paid £349 in the sale i believe. absolutely amazing bit of kit, with really good clarity. i looked at others (LG, Sony, Phillips etc) and the only one that pipped it would have been the sony, purely on picture quality. the samsung is good, but the sony was perfect. BUT, it was a dam sight more expensive.... totally agree with the above post about going somewhere you can see them on. you need to see what your getting.... kernel gadaffi
Clearance Bargains is a good place to start followed by Richer Sound, I'm a Panasonic fan as they offer a 5 year guarantee.
stumpy69
Avoid richer sounds. The owner is a supporter of LACS and donates lots to them. Since learning this don't even look on their site.
Fabhui
I saw a 42" LED one in aldi yesterday for £199 not sure on spec but seemed cheap. Picked one of these up yesterday for the bedroom but the picture quality is that good that it's now in the front room and the 42" Samsung LCD is now relegated to the bedroom.
