hollidca
The result of a busy weekend. Just need one more fence post and thinking of using riggers rope for a guardian rail. *Edit to add picture* Edited June 21, 2015 by hollidca

harrycatcat1
It looks very good well done my gripe with decking is that is a death trap in winter when its wet. My daughter has masses of it at the back of the house and I hate walking on it when its wet. It looks very good well done my gripe with decking is that is a death trap in winter when its wet. My daughter has masses of it at the back of the house and I hate walking on it when its wet. Meant to say its very slippery when wet. Del T
Looks nice. A big plus point is that you can now easily see over the fence into next doors if there is some talent sunbathing! Lol Edited June 21, 2015 by Del T
Fuji Shooter
Looks nice but is the planking running away from the door? Step outside when its wet and you could be scoring a 9.5 with that triple axle and toe loop combination.
hollidca
Yeah, have already fallen foul of the slippery wood. Going to put a square of chicken wire just outside the door, should do the job. Yeah the fence is quite low at that end of the garden, much higher at the other. Hoping to put a trellis up there and grow some kind of climber up it to provide some privacy.

andypaint
Brush on some lacquer or varnish with grit mixed in the paint makes it grippy when wet
STOTTO
Just an observation but are you sure that the safety rail posts are man enough if someone takes a tumble?
keg
I wish i has the skills to cut that straight! Looks great.
hollidca
Just an observation but are you sure that the safety rail posts are man enough if someone takes a tumble? Had the same thought and have now added additional posts, they are fixed into the frame with coach screws, they should manage an accidental fall, but perhaps not deliberate attempts to break them. timmytree
The gaps under decking make a great safe area for rats and mice!
hollidca
The gaps under decking make a great safe area for rats and mice! Maybe I could build in a cat flap... I want to keep my pup out of there for now anyway, hence the decking and modified trellis.

Nice work, looks great! A cat flap is a good idea to stop the rats. Oscar
