does anyone know if its possible to insure a car or should i say my land rover with just the vin number,

Yes it is. My mate that does classic bikes had to do this when he was waiting for new reg number.

I really should read all the unread posts before I reply.

Regarding the tow bar wiring

Do you have a soldering iron? If so and if it were me

Cut the inner core exactly to the depth of the terminal and then 'tin' with solder.

Looks sooooo much nearer and gives better 'purchase' within each terminal.

Or at v least to help with my 'compulsion' is to sort out the red link wire as per your photo

But sure is looking great though-- as to a ride on Valentine's Day! No photos are needed :-)

As far as the tow bar goes. It's done. Not messing about with that anymore. Unless it doesn't work

now this top one is just sat in place, think it just needs a couple of screws in it, and the front bit will take some thinking about and will need to be a 2 man job to hold it in place and work it all out, but its taking shape :good::good:
