steve_b_wales
Has anyone used Cider Vinegar to remove skin tags? I bought a bottle of Dermaxx, which is supposed to remove the tags, but after using it for almost 3 weeks, nothing at all is happening. I read somewhere that cider vinegar works well. guzzicat
I went to my skin clinic via my doc, I had several removed, 2 without local anaesthetic (he had missed them with needle), out in a few minutes , relatively pain free, that was 6 years ago & none have returned. ATB Matt I have one on my inner thigh. It started bleeding so I used a nail clippers to cut it off. Just a little bit of blood. But, it's grown again! I'm going to give the cider vinegar a go, and see how that works.

A spare pair would be good though for back up just in case.

oxfordfowler
Good job this is not the Middle Ages - the believe then was that a skin tag was the mark that remained as evidence that you had supped with the Devil . The Witch hunters would have had some fun with you lot (and me come to that).

TaxiDriver
Have had a couple removed in the past by the practice nurse at local Dr's Normally they've been dabbed with liquid nitrogen which effectively freeze dries it and they drop off in a couple of days. steve_b_wales
I've given up on the Dermaxx, and now I'm trying cider vinegar. Reading reports, it's supposed to work, but then so was the Dermaxx. I could snip them off, but this doesn't stop them regrowing. At least the cider vinegar only cost me 59p, against £9.99 for the Dermaxx.

39TDS
This cider vinegar doesn't seem to be working yet for me. Any idea how much of it you have to drink before it kicks in? Had some burnt off at the docs some years back. Stung like a bitch tbh. My advice is to have them all done at once as you won't go back. mudpatten
I had one surgically removed from my left eyelid when It began to interrupt my field of vision. It`s the sort of job that they give to the newbie doctor to perform. Watching the anasthetic needle wobbling towards my eyeball in the shaky hand of a trainee doctor was slightly unnerving. He managed to get the pain killer in without stabbing me in the eyeball but the sight of a sharp metal scalpel advancing very shakily prompted me to take him gently by the wrist and suggest that he take a quick walk around the room with a few deep breaths and then try again. This time his hand had stopped trembling and he made a quick and confident slice with the knife. The only complaint that I had was that for the next week my eye looked like it had been punched by a heavy weight boxer and went through a rainbow of different colours. Browning 425 clay hunter
I had one removed on my back at the doctors and removed 7 myself. The first time I was picking away at it and once you break the skin I kept picking and managed to remove it. I did the same with the following 6 down my left side of my chest/ribs. I'm not advising people to do it as I was told not to but it worked for me. Now skin tag free
paul1966
i've cut a few off with nail clippers, stings a bit but not for long, still got a few to cut off when they get a bit bigger, i have tried the tying cotton around them too with success but it takes time , i am sure i read somewhere that they grow back anyway.
