Andy17 Posted February 3, 2004 Report Share Posted February 3, 2004 Never heard of anyone using ferrets with air rifles only shotguns/nets and dogs.After bolting as many occupants the ferrets can find out of the warren your working they usually come out.The ones I use usually stay down until the last rabbit then appear at a hole ready to be picked up.If they catch a rabbit in a stop end and kill it they will often eat it and sleep down there and need to be digged to or by leaving there box nearby and come back later to find em asleep in it.The use of a locater collar makes things alot easier.Most well trained ferrets know the game and what they have to do so very few that i have seen will come out of a hole and run off,also mine are to fat to run quickly out in the open lol. yis andy.
