keg
I am on BP tablets and a stain, all of which went on my renewal, didn't mention it when he came round. Checked serial numbers and security and all fine and dandy.
30-06hunter
sorry if its a daft question as iv never heard of this.. when you say BP tablets I'm assuming thats blood pressure tabs.. why would that need to be on you're renewal ? Because on the application/renewal form, it asks (Q.10) "Do you suffer from any medical conditions ?" (yes/no box), and then says "if yes, give details"

30-06hunter
I can understand any medication that would effect your use of a firearm.. like those "don't operate heavy machinery after taking" pills but all medical conditions ? are they then noted on your licence ? do you have to pay for a variation if you no longer suffer from that medical condition haha. I understand what you're saying, but the simple fact is that the application requires you to answer that question truthfully : ALL medical conditions must be disclosed. I can only imagine that if you failed to declare medical conditions / medications, and the police then found out that you had lied on your application form, then it would probably be considerable grounds for refusing your application. After all, you would have shown yourself to not be honest/trustworthy.

Notes 5 and 6 explain the requirement in more detail, which makes it clear that only those medical or mental health conditions which would effect an applicants suitability to possess firearms need be included. True but i just list them anyway. Just realised my answer said "Stain", should have said "Statin" Not sure if it's my typing or a sticky keyboard. sorry if its a daft question as iv never heard of this.. when you say BP tablets I'm assuming thats blood pressure tabs.. why would that need to be on you're renewal ? Yes, Blood Pressure. It runs in the family. Dad was 6st in a wet overcoat, not and ounce of fat on him. Had high BP and was waiting for a triple bypass when he died at 65 from a heart attack. 2 uncles I never knew didn't make it past 40.
