PULSAR N750A NV Scope

Recommended Posts

I sent an email to Scottcountry asking them how I can use the above scope on 3 different rifles, as their advert clearly states that this can be done. I also asked them how I to access the 13 different reticles. The three zero option was the only reason I bought this scope.

Their reply today was that the N750A cannot save three different zero's, it's only available on the N870. This also applies with the different reticles.

Their advert states:

For 2014 the brand new Pulsar Digisight N750A Digital night vision riflescope features 13 unique reticles to help customise your display quickly. An innovative memorisation of zero-in parametres enables you to effectively save zero for up to 3 different weapons, twinned with a detection range of up to 600m the new Pulsar Digisight N750 Advanced is the ultimate long range foxing solution.

So, are they wrong in what they have said to me? And, if their advert is misleading, then I will be sending the scope back (to Uttings) as unfit for purpose.

Steve ignore Scott Country one of the patter merchants was telling people on Facebook that the photon had an OLED display when in fact it's LCD, I stated this and his post was quickly edited, if you don't even know the specification of what your selling, your giving your customers false advice towards making a purchase.

The original N750 does not have any x3 memory for different zero points, but the revised N750A included much better reticules and the addition on the x3 zero memory. If you have an N750A you have this, and Scott country are talking out of there **** again.

It sounds like the advert is misleading so I would speak to Uttings RE sending it back if you are not happy with it. If 'proof' that you bought this model for the express reason of switching between rifles is required then print off your pre purchase posts off here and send them back with the scope.

I have just checked the scope, and it says N750 on the bottom. The receipt from Uttings states N750A, so a mix up there.

I will phone Uttings tomorrow morning to speak with them about this matter. If I get no joy (and they usually have a good after sales service) I will be in touch with my local trading standards office.

EDIT: I've just checked the box that the scope came in and it says 'N750A', so clearly the wrong scope in the box.

UPDATE:

I have just spoken to Andy from Uttings who is concerned about this. He has asked if I would send him a photo of the model number on the bottom of the scope, and also the model number that's on the box. I have just done this and will now wait and see what's going to happen. I have informed him that I have no use for this scope now, and will demand a refund if it's not changed, as it is 'unfit for purpose' and 'not as advertised'.

Scottcountry have been very helpful with this matter, considering that I did not buy the scope off them in the first place. Their latest email to me stated:

The N750A does have the three levels of zero, and variable reticles, the N750 does not, but if it simply says N750 it is not the “A” model

N750 had vastly inferior display and image quality than the N750A

UPDATE 2.

Uttings have now seen the photo's of the model number on the scope (N750) and the model number on the box (N750A) They are now in touch with their supplier, who I believe is Thomas Jacks. I have requested a replacement scope, which Uttings have agreed. I just hope it does'nt take too long.

Cripes Steve so they sent you an older version when you'd asked for the A!

BTW the 750 isn't that bad a resolution....I've used both and whilst the 750A is an improvement I wasn't blown away by it. I wouldn't say that the old one was 'vastly inferior'.

I agree about the resolution on the N750. I've only looked through it a few times, and didn't think it was bad. I just hope now that Uttings/Thomas Jacks don't drag their feet over this, as I don't intend waiting around for the new one to arrive. It's annoying, because I have a week off work now, and intended to zero the scope today and use it tonight and tomorrow!

Steve-b

I bought mine justt a few weeks before yours, mine says N750a on the box and the manual @ I can see the option in the menu so think mines ok.

It has to state N750A on the bottom of the scope. If it just states N750, then it's not the newer model. This came from Scottcountry, who, as I mentioned, have been very helpful, even though the scope wasn't bought from them.

FURTHER UPDATE:

Uttings are now saying that Thomas Jacks won't change the scope until they see the photo's that I took of the scope and box. And, the guy who needs to see them is not available! I have now told Uttings that I want a replacement scope sent out to me, as this issue is between them and Thomas Jacks, and not with myself. I told them that they sold me the wrong scope and they need to exchange it. I'm not interested about the issue between them and Thomas Jacks. They have a N750A is stock because they told me so. They have 'promised' to get back to me before they close business today, but they promised to get back to me earlier this morning and didn't.

I have told them that my only other option is to claim a full refund, under the 'distance selling regulations'. I am also contacting Trading Standards as I type.

Watch this space!. :ninja:

Steve, there will be a lot of happy foxes that have survived for an extra week

Just to add I have always found Scott Country and Thomas Jacks to be very very helpful.

Me too, but I bought the scope from Uttings. :) Scott Country were very helpful, fair play.

However, I have always received good customer service from Uttings. :good:

I have just received my replacement scope and it's the N750A, which is what I should have had in the first place. The courier collected the first scope, which I packed with the scope rail and remote control fob. I didn't send them the Ansmann EC800 battery charger though, as I thought it was a straight scope for scope swap. I have emailed Uttings to tell them about it, and offered to return it if they send me a prepaid postage label, or, because of all the hassle and inconvenience I have received, they may allow me to keep it.

I'm looking forward to finally getting the scope zeroed on my .243 first, and go after the Foxes. :)

Nice one Steve. Fingers crossed what I told you know makes a bit more sense since we are talking about the same scope

Get after those foxes, they wont know what hit them. :good:

Hopefully, I'll get in christened soon.

Uttings just emailed me and they want the charger back, and will arrange collection. It will probably cost them more that the item costs them.
