sishyplops
I would suggest as you received something that he has may have innocently sent the wrong package to you it happens, have you tried ringing the phone number on the add? pigdoff
I would suggest as you received something that he has may have innocently sent the wrong package to you it happens, have you tried ringing the phone number on the add? I think that a ps2 disc is a little bit smaller than a bsa scorpion so would be hard to mix up accidentally - no response from either the seller or freeads - in a nutshell i have been had !!! GingerCat
I suggest you report it to the police. Try to steer clear of action fraud as it will take months to get to the police and action fraud will right it off in the meantine. Quite what they do I don't know. I'd also suggest u reclaim the monies u paid. If via bank go and see them with the crime number. Yiu wont be the last. Best of luck.

I think the point was not that he's mixed up the items, simply the addresses. He puts the ps2 disc address on the package for the gun and the gun address on the ps2 package. It's not inconceivable! huds78
That could have happened but if the parcels were mixed up why would advert still be live ? chrisjpainter
That could have happened but if the parcels were mixed up why would advert still be live ? If he's dappy enough to mix up an address, he is absolutely dappy enough to forget to take a live advert down! Seeing the advert, it looks pretty dodgy... felly100
If you go on her homepage, there's an explanation. Her boyfriend did a runner so she's flogging his stuff. She's already sold two other air rifles.

She's already sold two other air rifles. My girlfriend did a runner and i'm selling her magic beans, i've sold some magic turnips and some magic swedes previously too.... see how easy it is to type utter drivel for a sob story. £240 is way too cheap and if it smells like a scam it usually is. viking
sorry but a fool and there money are easily parted, as stated far to cheap, sorry to throw a load of quotes about but, if it seems to good to be true then it probably is, and in the case it was

secretagentmole
We have had some amazing bargains in the past, Daystate X2, 2 magazines, bipod, air cylinder, bag, targets, Map 6 scope, silencer, £275 that was about 4 years ago, bloke was selling up to fund a carriage for his horses (true that), we did drive up to Derbyshire to collect it mind. All was there, slight problem with the air cylinder which was for a respirator and had an on or off valve, but we already had a cylinder and were able to sell it to a dive shop who wanted it for something. All were happy, we got a great gun, but we dealt face to face.

sishyplops
How did you pay for it ? PayPal may offer some recourse but I don't think they allow the purchase of firearms, maybe your bank could help??

evo
I,ve just read that advert and sorry to say this BUT,,,, I cant understand why on earth you would buy it,, its had a lower price as he said but attracted idiots so he then put it up to £240 which lets be honest is a totally daft price aswell, the other thing that was not right was contact via email ONLY, or he will ring whoever, the advert had RIPOFF all over it,, sorry you lost your money but I think this will teach you to do face to face in future unless you can trust the person and/or don't buy anything unless you have a home number/full address that can be confirmed, hope you get ya dosh back
Zenduri
All this interest in my magic beans... i need to get selling them! Serious note though, the run up to christmas is a busy time for the chancers and scam scum to make some money for their chavvy children so im not suprised at the ad or the wonderful price. Sorry you got done over OP but definitely report it to the old bill. Edited November 4, 2015 by Zenduri
