B391
I have a Beretta 391 and i want to adjust the POI. Compared with mu O/U it shoots low, I have to cover the bird to hit it if you se what i mean. I am told my Miriko shoots 70/30 above the POI or close to it. I want to try and achieve the same with the 391. I have tried to use a shim to increase the drop but that made it worse, from 60 to 65. If i decrease the drop to either 55 or 50 would that help? I read some where that trap shooter have a low drop, about 40, but i don't want to mess around until i know more. I can't find a pattern plate anywhere neat me so i have to use trial and error......so far more error that i would like. Any ideas
henry931
You want to raise the stock (reduce the drop at face). This makes your eye sit higher, thus you bring the front bead higher to meet the target, and so the muzzles are inclined further upwards moving the pattern upwards

Bewsher500
Increasing the drop lowers the poi Flip the shim round

Yes you will see more rib with the 55 shim, don't forget to change both of the shims though. Edited November 10, 2015 by BlaserF3

I have 2 sets of shims 55/60 and 50/65, all are Beretta original shim sets. I will try both the 55's first to see how I get on. Thanks for all the advice

PhilR
West Kent Shooting School at Paddock Wood used to have a pattern plate, might be worth a ring to check.
