Cockerman59
I have a 2008 ford ranger, I only use it around the shoot, beating, so it's only got, 23000 on the clock, I am not very good with motors, so in another 7 years it will probably only have done 46.000, but it will be 14 years old, will the other components other than the engine hold on or do I need to be doing something
Gordon R
Wear on vehicles is normally in proportion to mileage. Running gear, engine, switches etc should have hardly any wear at that sort of mileage. Rust is normally the enemy with low mileage cars. littlerob
The only thing would grab my attention would be rust and second would be change of belts as fan belts and cambelts perish n cracking with age
superspark
I have a 2007 ranger. I've changed the timing belt, rollers and tensioner and Auxiliary drive belts. It also pays to jet wash the under side and chassis followed by a good underseal. They never seem to treat the underside very well for rust protection. Do these things and regular services and it will go on for years to come.
Pistol p
It's also got a large amount of mazda parts on it ( as ford owns mazda ), so it'll last for ages if you service it with the proper fluids and filters.
