If it was worth double, the salesman would have bought it. Think about it...

 

It'll retain some value, but buying a Defender isn't an investment of any kind. Just wait until that warranty runs out and make sure you get EVERYTHING fixed before it ends.

The bloke has got another one thats now 3 years old and not had one problem with it :good: But then it had only done about 1200 miles :lol:

You seem to be wording your responses like you've never owned a Defender, or got rid of one. You know they're horribly problematic!

Ive had 3 defenders still got 1 with 300,000 on the clock (just can't bring my self to sell it). Had a 2a before them plus a discovery or 2 and a hand full of range rovers (classics). I would have a range rover tomorrow if i could find a good one at a good price. none of then have been any more of a problem than any other cars I've had. but saying that I now drive an l200 and the only thing that has needed is springs.
