AVB
The 30th is a Saturday and the 31st is a Sunday am I missing anything AVB? Are you still in the village? We fly out stupid hour on Saturday morning so no chance to shoot. Yes still in the village BUT we are moving back at Easter. Unfortunately the Norfolk experiment hasn't worked. Me and the children are ok with it but the wife hasn't settled (not finding a home hasn't helped) and as they say "happy wife, happy life" so we are upping sticks again. rjimmer
My German relations tell me that there is just no snow at a lot of resorts and it's not cold enough to use the machines that spray it on the runs.
Psyxologos
My German relations tell me that there is just no snow at a lot of resorts and it's not cold enough to use the machines that spray it on the runs. That is last week's news. There has been over 1,5 meters of snow in the north and Western alps. In the Dolomites, despite there being no snowfall the pistes are in excellent shape due to the amazing effort that has been put on making snow... Saas Fee again, skiing on a glacier and generally above 1800m I did Saas Fee a couple of years ago. Nice place. Expensive then and even more so now though. I am off to Les Arcs with my eldest boy for a lads week away. They have had a couple of feet of snow over the weekend and more to arrive. Still four weeks away though. Enjoy Switzerland. LowStandards
I hated flaine, its in a valley, **** all about,no nightlife and they have got you on pricing That said my mate I went with has been back for the 3 years since we went... Went Morzine last year, some really good runs there and a good town with nightlife Fancy Andorra next time, and a new board

Yes, I know. it will my sixth time there as we love it. We have been to many places in the Alps, but Saas Fee somehow has a special place in our hearts. This will be our first time the whole family (including a 5 year old and a 1 year old) so we are understandably even more excited!
Winston72
Are you mad? Fly fishing makes you ginger, cycling turns you albino and tiddlywinks is Nazi. And here's me thinking that if id learnt to handle a rod i'd have ended up with a wife n kids, how wrong one can be lol

digger
I went skiing a couple of years ago in Poland. Spent two hours in a tangle on the way down. The ski lift was beyond me so I got that stopped for ten minutes while they untangled me. 90 odd people either shouting or laughing at me. lots of photos taken and to add insult to injury I was told to hand my hired skis back ! decided I'd go gnarly and hire a board bro. took off like a boss and nailed it for at least 250mm. no one told me how nigh on impossible it is.
