Scully
I have 235 85/R16's on steel modulars on my Landrover, but only have 4. I want a spare and have been all round and underneath my vehicle to see if there is an indication of width but can't find anything. Would I be correct in thinking 7" would be right for the tyres I currently have? Cheers.
TR1
This may help 235/85 X 16 Tyres have a manufacturers minimum rim width fitting of 6 inches. 'Wolf' style steel wheels are 6.5 inches width and can be used for both 7.50 x16 AND 235/85 x 16 tyres. Most 'Aftermarket' steel LR fitment wheels (eg 8 spokes and modulars)are most commonly 7 inches wide (same as most LR fitment alloys) and can take 235/85 and 265/75 x 16 tyres. rodp
It will be stamped on the wheel, it has to be. may be small lettering though.
