Mmmm. Pictures of ferret genitalia. I normally keep them in my wallet.....

Seriously, it might be quicker to go to the library and peek at a book, or find a bookshop. I'd be surprised if there isn't any info on the web, I just don't really know where to begin describing it to you!

In the complete book of ferrets by Porter and Brown there is a picture of an ovulating jill.

yes caught it , i think its a jill in season .

got it in a metal gage 2ft by 3ft , straw bedding ( is straw ok ), water and dry cat food ( go cat ).

no idea what to do with it , farmer said just 410 it or dump it some where else  , i think she is tame-ish and would,nt mind keeping her .

what would i need and need to do for basic requirements ??.

will a jill live ok on her own ??.

is there any way to tell the age ??.

are there any ferret rescue places near me Notts ng12 ??.

what is a jill jab ??.

can you bathe the smelly ******* ??.

what food ??.

how long in season ??.

any advice welcomed , please help :sly:

Right.

A large rabbit type ESCAPE PROOF hutch, as big as you can make/afford, preferably with weldmesh not chicken wire.

She will live alone but some company is nice.

A vet could help.

Sorry don't know.

I think what you are referring to is a jab which ends a female ferret's season early, they are at risk of infection during this time.

Yes. Keeping the hutch clean minimises the smell.

They are carnivores. Meat in the form of carcasses, dried ferret food etc. Don't listen to the "bread and milk only" brigade. Cat food in an emergency.

Seasons can last a long time, weeks. If she is in heat she is vulnerable to infections which can kill. A vet can help with this, she can be mated or a hob who has hed the snip can be used on her to bring her off heat.

Hope this is helpful
