Ours always seem to end up with traits to match their names. My dog is Splash and she used to get in the garden pond as a pup and will jump into water at any given opportunity. We had a boy and called him Sonic and when he grew up he had a ear splitting "Toller scream". Our 2 year old is called Bandit and she pinches everyone else's toys and chews.

I'd call it something like "Lotto" although our latest addition is called Scout.

I always kept my dog's names short; Jet & Jaf the working GSD's, Gem, Tess & Kyle my working flush & retrieving sheepdogs, then when I inherited a ESS that I'd only taken home to re-home and subsequently found that she had adopted us, I had a Ruby. that was soon shortened on the beating line to Roob. To be honest you can call the dog anything you want as log as it responds to a whistle
