Spot welding needed for magazine

Silver solder is a lot stronger than lead (or whatever substitute they use these days). I bought a small pack of silver solder rods and some flux off ebay a while ago for some small jobs on a motorcycle restoration. You'll need a small blow torch to melt it.

Dougy - i have a spot welder if it does need that. Show the mag to me at Catton and we'll see. I could post it back.

Other than that Rob's suggestion of TIG.

brazing is a bit full on

or stand it up downrange at Catton and Sparkie will weld it with a 22-250!

Ps is it a m55 mag

Yes it is so it's very very precious. As in very rare and virtually impossible to replace.

I've heard people asking and getting over £150 for them. I actually have a spare one.

I'm off to fruity's he's going to have a look at it tomorrow.

Say good bye to it now, as soon as he strikes up his tungsten, mag will have massive hole in it

There's a market for them, may not be a huge one but there's plenty of folk out there after them. Specially the 5 shot mags.
