lloydi73
Well, I was lucky enough to be texted yesterday by Oxford Fowler and lucky enough to be invited along with him on one if his permissions in Oxfordshire. We shot two small woods and braved the elements of strong wind and rain. I had 2 for 8 and he had about another 6 or 8 birds for same shots. Although not a big bag, I totally enjoyed being out in the field with him and learnt some more field craft and shooting tips along the way. A big thanks again to Oxford Fowwler

norfolk dumpling
Great fun - I've added quite a few pigeons to the freezer this season. Also when the other guns got going on the big estate where I roost shoot quite a lot of jays were moving about. I've nailed five in two visits so far. I'm finding my 20g with 28g of 7s better than the 12 with bigger loads/shot. I think its the quick shots and with birds in the top of the canopy they are at best 20-25 yards away. Had a buzzard pinch a couple which landed out on the grass.
