If been offered out on an invite to shoot on land with a rim fire with someone who has permission to shoot on land with a ri fire do I need to let my firearms licensing peopl no... I have acouple of mates up and down the country who have farms that are certd for rimfires and get offerd to go up to them every now and again would this be a good enough reason to ask for an open ticket as there will be often invites up and down the country When (if ) I get my cert do I have a certain time frame to purchase the guns that I have asked for ? Any help appreciated
CharlieT
I presume you have not yet got your FAC. When you get it and your rifle, it will be conditioned for use on land approved by your Chief Constable. Therefore, as long as the land has been approved (cleared) for .22rf then you are good to go and will not need to tell anyone. Just one point, you will need permission from the landowner, your pal can not give permission unless his permissionauthorises him to "bring a friend". There is no time limit on buying your rifle other than it is expected you buy it within the life of your FAC.
