ElvisThePelvis
Just looking for some advice, what is the best distance to zero a .22 11.5ftlb springer to in order to requre minimal hold under or over? 30 yards, 35, 40? Thanks!
Marki
chairgun will answer all your questions. http://www.hawkeoptics.com/chairgun.html Generally I set my zero at 10yds. Works ok for me for around 30-35 yds. Edited April 8, 2016 by Marki
Les*1066
It really depends on what your 'normal' shooting distance will be e.g., if you shoot at a constant +/- 30 yards, then that's the distance to zero it. As a general "rule", 30 to 35 yards is about right for most hunting scenarios, but it really comes down to the type of shooting you do. I forgot to add that for a springer, I normally zero at around 20/25 yards, and about 30/35 for a pcp. cuffy
Set up some targets from 10 to 40 yards and see for yourself , guns and shooters are all different
felly100
Do you shoot things up trees? That makes a difference too.
figgy
27 yards I think is the optimum zero for point blank to 35 yards. It's what I zero mine to. Chair gun will give you the optimum zero for your pellet choice as anoth member has posted. Great app.
