Jay_Russell
Just reading through the general license and under the information and advice section (m) quotes that; Birds killed or taken under a license maybe eaten, but, with the exception of the wood pigeon, may not be sold for human consumption. Does that mean we are prohibited from selling pigeons to a game dealer?
Stonepark
Pigeons can be sold, not any others

fenboy
As above only pigeon can be sold for human consumption so its is illegal to sell rooks / crows etc for eating by humans
figgy
Get some Rook pie made with any young branchers. If done right can taste quite nice, if not its bloody awful. Sell the Pigeons.
otherwayup
Every now and then I check the General Licences to make sure I know what's what. However I can't seem to find the latest licences via the link on the BASC site. The BASC link takes you to a Government site that just seems to have links to Forms to apply for a licence, which I understood you didn't need to do (and BASC still state this as well). I assume I'm looking at the wrong thing, so can anyone point me in the right direction.

otherwayup
That is the BASC page I'm talking about that just has a link to a Government page of application forms. Searched the gov site separately and found them on another page https://www.gov.uk/guidance/prevent-wild-birds-damaging-your-land-farm-or-business#general-licences Edited September 6, 2016 by otherwayup
