I was at my local gun shop on sat and a very well seasoned shooter I know came in with his ruger 77 he bought a couple of weeks back. While out on the Friday doing a spot of bunny bashing. From the window of his truck. He pulled the trigger and BOOM the action blew to bits and I mean in bits. Even a shard of wood from the side of action embedded in the dash board. You would have thought it was a centre fire round buy the damage to chamber.

I can't believe this is a surprise or new to anyone anymore.

It isn't new, its been going on for years!

Picture I took back in 2010, and it was nothing new then!

Not pretty, when will they sort it?? On a couple of Remington they have split down to the rim :(

Edit-I actually counted how many there were and out of the 43? I was given around 22-24 had split

If they're only split after firing I don't see it as a problem - it's not like there's another use for the brass once the round has been fired. On the other hand, cracks in the cases before the round is fired could cause problems
