Dan7626
Don't worry. I have been on these for over 15 years due to a complicated back condition. I had the same concern as yourself years ago when I read what they were. I went to my doctor and voiced my concerns on renewal of my shotgun cert. He told me not to worry at all as they are neurological and anyway if the police contacted him as they more than likely would, then be would explain all to them. I have never had any problems with renewals whatsoever, so don't you be worrying unnecessarily. That's great to hear, thankyou ever so much. I am on 10mg tablets one every evening before bed so I'd imagine that's a fairly low dosage? Do they take a while to start working? I've taken them twice now but not much change as yet. Footu
The tablets are used for different things at different dose levels. Really not a problem. as for osteo, chiro physio it all depends on the person. Like any trade there are good and bad in all. Ask around friends and see if you can get a good recommendation. Good luck. hedge
I was prescribed Amitriptyline (10mg daily) for treatment for recurring sinus infections. Like you, I was a bit shocked to hear they were anti-depressants but apparently they have various positive side effects for other ailments (10mg is a VERY small dose). They do help you sleep as well! Don't worry about it - you won't even be on the `at risk` radar. Edited June 28, 2016 by hedge
Dan7626
Thankyou for all the advice, hopefully they will help ease the pain slightly. I'll start looking into chiropractors too and give that a try. Anything is worth a go.
