Recommended Posts

Lindisfarne wildfowling permits up £10.now £67 per season getting a bit expensive don't think their worth that

Considering the widgeon and geese are out of their after a few weeks.

Odd pintails teals any way that's my opinion.river tweed shoots better permits a lot cheeper the Scottish sides for free.

Per a friend of mine who is on the wildfowl panel permits have gone up £2 for this season.

The permit income helps to pay for the wardening and admin of the fowling scheme, so without sales of permits there would be no fowling.

£67 is hardly expensive for a seasons fowling in my book, if you get it right there's always sometihng about if you work at it.

It works out at just over £10 a month.... about the cost of a pint per week.

Yes the Tweed is cheaper but for a much smaller area, less quarry and no Sunday shooting I think on the Scottish side which is covered by a permit and is not free.

£67 ! ! iv'e been quoted more than that for a days pigeon shooting in the S. east. surely its about being there rather than bag size

Quite agree, tis a magical place with or without firing a shot. Some folk dont realise how lucky they are!
