Konnie
On my perm a litter of fox cubs were raised this year, and i just missed them moving on. Today on return from holiday i noticed a couple of dead crows that had been hung up to deter them damaging barley, had gone found and a smallish laid patch in the wheat next to the barley, not any food value to the carcass as it had been out a while, and in years never had any taken by fox, so i'm thinking a cub playing with it. So question is at what age do the cubs start to wander and set up on thier own, fend for themselves ?
Dougy
They would start breeding around the following December, so before that they will start to wonder further afield. If not their decision to move away it will be the parents if still alive.
Konnie
Cheers hoping to get a go at them once harvest starts it's all arable and not a patch is clear at the moment. Bet the little ******* are running riot after the game.
Dougy
You need to be out on the field's as soon as the combines are through the gates. The fox's will be scavenging after the ground nesting birds and anything else that's been caught up in the combine.
