Building a dog kennel and run

Recommended Posts

Hello

Due to some building work I am having to move where my two spaniels currently reside. Looking at the prices I thought I could save some cash what with said building work and a 5 month baby and build something myself.

I was looking at building the shed type with mesh or bars on the front.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to go about this before I cock it up?

Thanks

I looked into this before I brought my kennel , to be honest for the little if no saving over making one it was not worth the hassle , the manufactures buy wood / panels etc in such large quantities its difficult to beat them.

That'll do for me! Seen your posts on here and you seem to know you stuff so will take the hassle free route! Just need to find a well priced 12ft x 4ft run now!

I don't know about that

Mine come from Dutchy Farm Kennels , I did the base myself .

The Kennel itself cost £1100 although I note they have gone up since then , delivery and erection is included in the price though.

I am a joiner- built my own kennel. Yes, it will last longer than any you would buy on the Internet. I definately did not save money though!!!!!! If I was doing it again I would buy a plastic one off the internet.
