why is it when I see a picture of a car like that I can instantly smell that smell from my childhood when my granddad dad and older brother had them

hard to explain but I thinks its a mix of the seats the carpets the dash .............or should I say the whole interior ........

I now have all the past cars of my childhood running threw my head

mk1 Cortina

riley elf

triumph herald

Austin Cambridge

just to name a couple

would love to own something like that thanks for showing

That is just the bees knees. If I had had an empty garage (it's currently full of stuff I can't get into the house) that Consul would be in it for sure.

It's even got rabbiting spots.

When bumpers were bumpers.

My Dad had one, the Henry Ford model, all Black with red seats. Got a few pics of us as kids on holiday in it.

It will not take long at that price.

That's really nice. My Grandparents used to travel from Birmingham to Balloch In one of those. When I was a youngster, car sickness I suffered greatly then. Must have been the petrol fumes, or the back pressure, entering the car. That's a beautiful car, they can't be many left.
