motty
In my bag of 286 on Saturday, 19 were youngsters. I also shot some young birds on Sunday and yesterday. There seem to be quite a few about at the moment.

Cranfield
I had a 3 hour session yesterday afternoon (shooting crows on wheat all morning) on a small field of rape stubble, shot 24 pigeons, all adults. There has been plenty of breeding activity since early in the year, so there must be loads of young birds somewhere. I had to vacate the field earlier than I had planned , as the discs arrived. As there is much more wheat planted in my area, I am hoping the wheat stubbles last a bit longer.
