Thanks for all the helpful and informative replies peoples, I am liking a seamaster, still fancy a breitling but will definitely be looking at titanium for something that will be worn a lot,i can't really see the point in buying a watch that will spend most of its life in my safe.

 

Note that titanium is very light, but scratches easily too; so it will get a 'patina' a lot quicker than SS would...

 

But I agree, I don't wear my big Omega PO on a shooting day for example, as it's too heavy! It's like having extra weight added to the barrel when swinging ;-)

shameless plug but would you be interested in a Breitling Superocean Steelfish, I have one i'm thinking of selling as I work from home a lot these days so no longer really wear it
