Ttfjlc
My eldest son is into his poultry keeping/breeding. He's got quail and a variety of chickens, some of his best hatching results this year have been eggs bought from the bay. His latest batch were welsummer eggs bought for him from Melton Mowbray Market and after hatching they are all doing well at 1 1/2 weeks old! Well done on your hatches, it's a nice feeling when it all comes good. Edited August 23, 2016 by Ttfjlc

oowee
Its addictive. I get my birds from a free range farm when they are 60 weeks old. The lucky ones come here the others go to London Zoo.

landyboy
We have hatched a few lots this year chickens and mostly ducks ! We got a small incubator off the bay for £30 holds 12 eggs and had good results ! The thinking seems to be get them early as they are more likely to be fertile rather than eggs later in the year ! Bought them mostly from auctions in selby and York but have also hatched our own call ducks after mr fox ate the duck !
