greenergp
There are some steel loads on the BPS page for 10 bores using the MM1035 wad, i dont have any of these wads could i use SAM 1 10 bore wads instead? The powders i have are Longshot, HS6, Steel and Bluedot i would like to do some fast light'ish loads for Duck.
Smiler23
No you couldn't , I believe you could use tps wads as replacement for multi metals

MAB1954
I believe Ballistic Products say that multi-metal wads have been replaced by tps wads but best check yourself to confirm and I understand this applies to all gauges. Other option is to put a recipe together and get it pressure tested then if with in limits pattern test in your gun.
roughshooter
Tps wads generate more pressure than multimetal wads so are not recommended for a replacement. However Sam 1 generate less pressure so are fine to swap.
Smiler23
Really??? , I'd read up on a site(can't remember where) that they had tested loads like for like but swapped wad tps to mm, and noticed no noticeable change..

bishop
So tps wad casn be used instead of MM in 10 bore?I found an old Eddie Nixon load on another site 10 gauge csbo load 44 grains in a Fed or Remmy case cx2000 primer multi metal wad 44 gram of steel shot. Not the fastest load but its one of the best goose killers I have and several others I know use it to good effect.Eddie I was going for the 44/42 laod for speed but i reckon as long as pressures stay "safe" in the AYA ill be happy with a 44/44 load.
