I have some lofting poles but they are not as easy to use as some make them out to be.If i use mine now i just have the decoys on a rod that goes in the top of the poles and they are much easier to get down.I no longer hang decoys on branches with them as i ended up having to knock them out of the tree and the ones i use fall to the ground and break.

I use a lofting pole with some success - it's about where you put the lofted Decoys that determines how easy/hard it is - if you put them in a likely tree upwind then they don't need to be so high to be effective as birds approaching into the wind can see them - tricky to get the birds to land unless you are using a favourite "sitty" tree but lofted Decoys can be very effective at pulling birds into range from a good distance.
