    Recommended Posts

Just had a couple hours with one of the farmers on some old stubble , saw a few in the trees so set up a hide & put 6 decks out . the birds did not fully commit but had 7 high birds which was great . they will not start planting till spring which I am looking forward to ,its been hard here in Kent but crack on.

Hi Marmite, just seen the first birds on the rape here down near Faversham. they still seem mostly preoccupied with ivy berries, gonna give it a go on the rape tomorrow as Christmas cabin fever has set in !!

I got a silenced 410 specifically for the only field we got left, near some paddock, even when u ask the farmer about shooting they say no thanks to noisy, before u had a chance to mention u can't hear my gun after 150 meters

i paid once never again it was a waste of time

I paid once, the first time I ever went, it was very good, a pest controller from northants took me, it was that really cold winter some years ago. He took me off in his truck, set me up under a pylon, set a hide up and a magnet and birds came nearly all day on and off. When I first rang him, he kept saying ring back in a week or two, there are no birds yet, looking back, it was a totally magic day, £100.
