It's got Lincoln Jefferies Jnr barrels on a BSA boxlock action, Lincoln Jeffries and BSA collaborated on guns but mainly air guns, fill the proofmarks on the barrel flats by rubbing chalk into them then post a picture on here it may tell us more.....or you could try googling John Knibbs International if you contact them they may have the BSA records?

The "junior" refers to Lincoln Jeffries ( inventor of the tap loading air rifle) son - Lincoln "parkes" Jeffries who began trading in 1890 - if the address says 120 steelhouse lane then the gun dates from 1898 onwards - as said, the proof marks will help greatly. The collaboration between BSA and Jeffries may have been simply that Jeffries bought guns from BSA and put his own name on them? Damascus? Ej?

It's a non ejector, it was Nitro proofed at 13/1 bore (.719) at Birmingham proof house between 1925 and 1954...........no indication of chamber length? But 1 1/8 would be the shot load and indicate 21/2 inch chambers.
It would be interesting to find out what the bores measure now! And the barrel wall thicknesses of course!

Unfortunately there's not much else I can tell from the proof marks!

Whoops! difference of opinion with bruno22rf......who, as there is no chamber length stamp.........may well be right!

The gun itself looks to have done very little , it is very clean internally, will get it measured just to see , thanks
