Larsen Traps recomendations

My last home made one has expired and I would prefer a lighter weight commercial weldmesh one.

Can anyone recommend an off the shelf one please and a source? Thanks.

I should add it is for Crows in the main if that effects entry type.

hi set up an account just to reply

i run five larsen traps during the spring and have been trapping for thirty years mainly with the type made from the game conservancy plans, the best one i have is the big round one like they sell off the shelf at solway feeders im sure i bought mine from aftershock though

go for the quality one and it will last for years, they have gravity drop doors and it out catches the wooden ones by a country mile iv even caught with no call bird it will catch crows and magpie with ease and side entry seems to be better with them walking in but sometimes its down to the call bird to how best they work. they are very easy to move around. as my old wooden traps get to the end of there working lives i will replace with this style, this is of course my own opinion and im sure many others have very different ones but in my experience you will not be disappointed
