advice on club or syndicate in essex kent or suffolk

Morning all.

I have been fortunate to gain some air rifle perms near to home.

having applied for my SC I am now looking for an informal rough/ pigeon shoot where I might be able to join and apply my air rifle to pest control at the same time as learning about the shoot, helping with maintenance feeding and beating.

I would hope any fees might be reduced as I would be limited to how I shoot for the time being until my sc arrives.

it would also allow the baliff to get to know me.

any pointers would be welcomed.

Thanks in advance

Youll be lucky to find reduced membership anywhere - even more so in Essex.

People with certificates and guns outweigh places to shoot, but if you've been googling you'll already know that. Personally I would wait for the SGC, then you'll be getting your monies worth, or pay the full membership cost now, get familiar with the syndicate and members, roost shoot and rabbit shoot with air rifles until your certificate gets granted.

hi Matt, thats kind of what I thought.

my perms have adjacent fields I can shoot but I share with SC holders.

I may be able to talk the owner into allowing me to 'upgrade' to shooting once my licence comes through.

problem I have is trying to get birds to drop down when the adjacent field has guns in it as you can imagine.

thats what prompted me into applying for my SC.

thank you for the reply and advice.

best wishes
