before you order new lens try moving camera back and forth to change eye relief to check it's not just that 1st if not it's an easy swap

colin

cheers colin, ive pushed the hose fully onto the scope so its upto the plastic tube housing I would need to trim this housing down to gain any further forward movement,

you wouldn't happen to have a link to purchase the new lens if needed would you, kind regards mark

Go to the manual of scope manufacturer and look up the eye relief for your scope. Set you camera lens to that distance.

A 12mm gives you a round image on the viewer. 16mm gives an image with corners cropped. A 20mm gives a slight magnification. Some it works for others prefer the 16mm. The slight magnification lets you use less mag on your scope so more light gets to the camera

16mm is the preferred lens and remember that if to have a scope that has an eye relief of say 2" this where the camera will sit.But remember that you will have to adjust the diopter focus as the camera will be out of focus unlike you eye.

To explain this watch Dave G's video where he explains this when turning the tube.

LOL - I've gone a bit too senile to remember which video Davyo refers to.

I've got oodles of 16mm E700 lenses laying about from spotters I've built. PM me your address and I'll bung one in an envelope for you.

aww cheers dave,G very kind of you sir,

Going back to adjusting the Diopter. My Mamba is 3 turns out for Day use, but on the Night vision setup it is wound all the way out . Thats what works for my old eyes. :good:
