20% increase in cartridge prices

Recommended Posts

just been to get a slab of shells and had a bit of a shock.

even the basic power pigeon shells have increased form around £45 a slab to £55 !!

2 letters, 1 from gamebore 1 from another manufacturer on the counter blaming lead prices.

has lead really gone up by 20%? whats it like in your dealers?

Spoken to a few wholesalers, most have said that cartridge price had been held way too low for ages, needed to rise but it's taken the lead increase to really kick them in to the increase.

They should of put them up 1-3% each year rather than 15-20% in one hit!

As for steel? Don't think it's gone up as much as lead cartridges but will have a look tomorrow.

funny thing is it still seem to be cheaper than home loading with the price of the ingredients and the soaring cost of delivery charges for dg thats if you can even get anyone to deliver powder, unless you are lucky enough to have a supplier near you like clay&game etc..
