KFC Posted March 16, 2017 Report Share Posted March 16, 2017 Boat or bank? If bank then it depends alot on the wind. Generally a SW, if it's light then the dam, or Church Hill are my favourite marks. If windy then the south end of the dam or wading off the dam carpark. Pitsford Pea, green and black Tapole or Goldhead Damsel on Di3 are the lures that work for me. On Tuesday I waded off the dam carpark and bagged up with 6 fish. Floating line, Deer Hair sedge at butt, 12' leader, #14 black/red buzzer then bloodworm buzzer and a green/black booby on point to fish washing line. I had two double hookups. On the first one the point fish slipped the hook but I landed both fish on the second. From reports I think it's been fishing fairly well all over. morty Posted March 17, 2017 Report Share Posted March 17, 2017 sounds like you have found your answer , a few of us have fished it for the past 5 yrs . and had some great days out on the boat . cant say we have caught anything bigger than , I think 4.2 lb . but the fish fight well in there . follow the wind on the drogue until you find the fish . the rangers are helpful with advice of flies and where the fish are . hope u catch well . this yr we have decided to go to wales for our trout fishing holiday . morty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tomaddy525 Posted March 28, 2017 Report Share Posted March 28, 2017 Drifting onto the willows, around 300 yards out, with a Di3 sweep, cat booby on the point, two cormorants middle droppers then a size 12 tequila blob top dropper...
