Hello, i do not see why not if you try on the metal pipe mode, i have a hand help metal detector for checking in holes/earth when out detecting that i used for locating pipes under floor

I have a super strong magnet (60kg lift)that I passed some steel shot Pigeon breast over last week.

I tried with it a bit of steel shot between my fingers and it pulled it out.

Go on the bay of evil and look up neodisium magnets very very very powerful we use them at work they pick up the tiny tiny slivers of metal so steel shot shouldnt be an issue

obviously magnets etc not much use with lead

 

I have seen those game scanner gizmos at game fairs, looks a bit like a tiny metal detector and allegedly detects lead

thanks for the input guys, i was hoping someone would say yes i use this or that, may get a good magnet for the steel but still a problem with the lead, i made pigeon burgers and smoked pigeon pate and its disappointing when you still find shot in it
