Range camera

Hi all,

Are there any techies out there that can answer this one....

I want to build a really simple cheap range camera for zeroing at 100m (200 would be good but I'll accept 100m)...

So far I'm looking at a cheap usb webcam and plugging into my andriod tablet using one if the free/cheap usb camera apps.

The issue is how can I, without tons of kit, extend this to 100m....

A 100m usb cable? A usb to cat 5 extender (and use cheap cat 5 cable) although these appear pricey? Or is there another simple very cheap option?

It's got to run on battery, and like I say not involve loads of kit or faffing?

Thoughts appreciated.

Trevor

Copper has a max run of about 100m per run you could put a router as a boaster 1/2 way to get you the 200m or you could buy a 3g/4g enabled camera or router and dial in as and when you wish tomsee the target
