apologies if this is not the correct place to post but it seemed the most applicable, im looking for a skeet vest and im quite a big guy (xxl 50" chest)

do you buy your skeet vests on the size (xl xxl etc) or inches? if its inches im looking at a 4 or even 5xl.

thanks

James, I can only suggest you get to a gun shop who also sells clothing and try them on as like most clothes for us 'larger' blokes (I'm 54" chest) an xxl from one maker is xxxl somewhere else. ive got 3 at the moment, 2 Beretta 1 sized as GB 50 and another as VL (!!!), my Fabarm vest is sized XXL but needs a zip extender to get it to fit. you might be lucky on-line, size wise, but its easier in store, and no I'm not associated with any shooting clothes firms ha ha

I'm a 50" chest without clothes so usually get a 52" most xxxl will fit you like musto the musto xxxxl is a bit better on me but I can wear xxxl.

Try them on though as they all fit different, some are tight on the arm holes others dig into the back of your neck with carts in pockets.

Browning xxl is very generous - I'm a 50 chest and mine is verging on too big, even with everything adjusted to be as tight as possible. I always try to go by the inches measurement.

Picked my vest up for £30 in a sale.

Musto and browning tend to be generous, I think I've heard the top gun vest are generously sized as well.

I'm normally a musto XL-XXL however the Italian vest like a castellini or beretta I'd probably need about a 6xl haha.

Vest is not compulsory, plenty shoot in civvies and a pouch.
