figgy Posted May 5, 2017 Report Share Posted May 5, 2017 Many are fair weather shooters, to be honest of your not competing where is the fun in going out and not enjoying it due to adverse weather. Comp shooters will practise in all. I don't mind a bit of wind but when you can't keep the barrels steady or it's gusting strong the nothing it's bloody frustrating. buze Posted May 5, 2017 Report Share Posted May 5, 2017 Well it's supposed to be fun, not just a fair weather sport! Nothing as fun as seeing a clay 'take off' on the wind and trying to shoot it. Spend the morning at Griffin Lloyd's in "light welsh breeze" and had heaps of fun. I shoot in gales, hail and snow, and I think that's half the fun of doing sport outdoors! Squinting shot Posted May 6, 2017 Report Share Posted May 6, 2017 I shoot all weather all year round don't have any problems just need to be quicker in the wind as it pushes clays all over and in summer ur only issue is the Sun in ur eyes. Me too, always find its a friendly and nice place to spend a few hours doing what i enjoy when I have the time, mainly shooting lots of sky.......
