Tip for Newbies

When you buy your gun get it fitted and if necessary adjusted by a gunsmith, then ahve a few lessons and then enjoy your shooting

Then after a year when your settled with a style and your gunmount is consistent get it altered again 😁

Yeah, THAT. Most excellent comment.

 

Basically don't spend heaps of money, get a gun that 'fits' but don't SPEND MONEY on getting one altered either, just buy a second hand, quality gun that fits 'pretty good' and shoot for 6+ months, then perhaps, think about crossgrading if you notice your gun isn't perfect. You won't know (and even an expert won't know either) how to gun fit you before you know how to shoot. People who tell you otherwise are delusional and/or trying to grab your money.
