figgy
As above, why is canvas as much or more than some leather slips. Pm Mel3b on here his wife makes bespoke leather ones.
welshwarrior
Yes it's beautiful very hard wearing exceptionally well made I didn't buy it and would pay rrp for one that's for sure.
alic
I have one, yes hard wearing and keeps the gun dry in very wet conditions. Not cheap but I think you get your money's worth in the long run
matone
Have one,its ok but not top quality. Poor quality leather certainly. Have some 30+ year old stuff made in their previous guise which is really good and shows the new stuff up.

.20 Hunter
Cheers for your views guys, I'm still thinking hard. I had a look at one today, I thought it was very well made to be honest. I use a croots game bag and I love it. They offer made to measure service so I might well go for it.
lksopener
Please have a look at ogdens leather products, he has canvas, full leather in various styles and will make to any size you desire. It's the best cartridge bag and slip I have ever had.
ChrisPCarter
I've got two canvas ones and think they are excellent quality. I haven't seen anything better made and I'm not into the full leather ones anyway.
.20 Hunter
I've had a look at the Ogdens I don't know anything about them. Full leather I don't need it to be honest. I was looking at spending around 150 on a case, but for not much more I can get a custom thing made up. So it's a thing of is it worth spending the extra £75. I'm very happy with my Croots game bag so that why I'm thinking of a gun case in Canvas. Wanting people's thoughts on there products, The man above seems very happy, as do others. Thinking about a side pocket on the outside if they would do it. Have any of the above got one with a zip pocket, on the outside ?
Rupert
I have the canvas, not sure how old as it came with a gun i bought pre owned, i like it a lot, it ages better than my wifes leather one, main thing is it folds easily in half for packing in car. Konor
I have a croots bag for my .222. I've had it a couple of years traditional look and has been hard wearing I would buy another I think they are worth the money. I also have a Brady canvas semi auto slip ,now over 35 years old ,I use it for my model 12 skeet gun and it has worn well Don't know how good Brady is now but am very pleased with mine plus I can roll it up into my game bag when not in use
