gemini52 Posted June 25, 2017 Report Share Posted June 25, 2017 I have a semi with a hipped roof,it was stipped off,new batons,new felt,the tiles which are in good condition were cleaned off and replaced,a neighbour of mine who is a roofer charged me two grand which included the scaffold. No,it just means i am old now and cant remember.Started a book a few years back so it helps me remember exactly how long stuff takes,but this job was before that. Lead re bedded on chimney and above the bay window plus a slate rebedded and the felt underneath repared (managed to pus a hole in it by knocking the TV aerial located in the loft through it) for £350. Same guy did 2 ridge tiles for £100. Local tradesman reccomended by lads I know in the building business.
