lister1
Thinks my of getting a budget smoker. Seen these on eBay for about £30. Anyone have any experience with these cheap smokers?
Dasher
I've got a similar one, I think the main metal components are mass produced by one company and each distribution supplier has their own handle designs. They are very tinny and poorly made............... but keep them dry and clean and they last for 4 yrs or more depending on how hot you smoke. Just one point, it's not that easy to cold smoke in these since the fire is directly below the food, trying to keep the temperature below 30 centigrade is near impossible. lister1
I was thinking I could roll another ring to extend it a bit.
lister1
For cold smoking could you put one of these in, a Pro q frame. I think someone said about them on another thread.
Big Mat
I've seen people making them from steel drums, obviously ones from the food industry! I'd have thought you'd be able to knock one up easily enough J? Save buying a flimsy bit of steel which will rot out!
lister1
That's the other option but as usual time is short on supply. If I can get something that works for 30 nuggets, then it's job done.
Mungler
I had one - dreadful. Couldn't get the temp up at all. Get the offset smoker on amazon for about £
lister1
That's what I thought, I've been doing a bit if research. It's not worth spending 30 nuggets to try one.
