More money grabbing lowlife

More importantly - why do money grabbing people chase compensation?

Because they're entitled to?

If someone caused you injury or loss through negligent shooting wouldn't you claim off their (Probably BASC held) insurance?

So if someone does the same through negligent driving it's not ok to claim off their car insurance?

Seems an odd outlook...

I know wouldn't it be funny if the electric company said "we are not paying you so we will be around tomorrow to remove our cables, best you go out and buy some Tilly lamps"

Exactly 👍

The country has gone mad.

I changed my number three years ago because I was sick to death of PPI and the like. My reply to PPI was "I have never been miss sold PPI because I am not an **** and I read the small print, and even if I have which I haven't I have no interest in re claiming it as I am very wealthy and do not need the money" the last bit is a lie but they generally have no response on there check sheet of what to say if customer says X

We are not debating injury here are we? fair enough if you open the curtains in the morning too discover a pylon in your back yard. But we all need and consume electricity, what ever next....

Whats wrong with overhead power cable claims? Just done mine, very lucrative even if time consuming.

Where the cables there when you moved in?

I believe when they put them on the land they do so with a time period, like leasehold.

When the contract runs out they either pay again to renew or don't. It's got nothing to do with consuming electricity.

hello, where theres blame theres a claim, true story, early this year while down by the lock a hole appeared in the bank by a boat mooring, you could not see it from a boat but one crafty boater moored up further spied it then proceeded to move his boat to the area before the lock keeper could fence off the hole, next thing he was on the bank moaning his foot had got twisted in the hole, claimed off the council ££££££££

If your bothered you wouldn't buy a house under the cables.

I wouldn't or next to a sub station but that's my choice, claiming for cables in the air over you, where does it stop?

Charging airplanes to fly over?

My school mate when we were growing up lived directly under National Grid power lines in Ruislip and they couldn't have a TV in his house as a result, so great was the electrical interference.

The lines run over hundreds of houses in this part of NW London, I can actually see them from the window of where I live now. They still carry power, you can hear them hum on damp mornings.

I haven't been in touch with that friend for more than 50 years but I often have wondered if he and his sister ever suffered any ill effects. They would have a justifiable case. Even now when I drive past his old house my car radio just turns to crackle for about 50 yds. It can't do a kid any good sleeping under that every night.

They are now advertising "been sick on holiday" claims lines and some of the big holiday companies are talking about stopping full board and all inclusive deals as a result of the level of claims they are having to fend off already.

Yes cables were there over car park. Small transformer and overheads over paddock. All on 'Wayleave' which i gave notice on. It's my land to do with as I wish. If someone wants access then they have to pay the appropriate price.

Seems to me that if people are offering a service to others to remove them / secure compensation then its no different from any other service?
