ant.mass Posted January 30, 2003 Report Share Posted January 30, 2003 hi can any one give me info on splitting the signal from the cable modem to the TV i have got cable splitter i put one of the cables into the modem and the other into the TV i can get the basic TV channels (BBC 1 and 2, ITV1, C4, C5 and 5 cable channels what bits will i need for more channels? thanks anthony.. Craigie Posted January 30, 2003 Report Share Posted January 30, 2003 There are devices out there that will let you do this, but as William rightly says they are illegal, the cable company could have you for theft. A normal cable set top box will do this for you but they must be activated on to the network by the cable company so you cant just "find" an old one and hope it works because it wont.
